How do I photograph real smiles?
Cinematic Lighting vs Flash Photography
Flash photography can feel awkward and uncomfortable. You stand there with a frozen smile on your face, waiting for the flash to happen instead of being present in the moment.
There’s a better way.
Cinematic lighting, like you see in Hollywood movies, feels natural and unobtrusive, allowing us to capture geniune expressions as they happen organically.
I photograph real smiles because people are really smiling and having fun. It’s as simple as that! Fake smiles look fake, real smiles look real.
My method is a very low pressure approach, all you have to do is be yourself!
Everyone has a good side.
Located in Gambrills, Maryland
My photography studio has hardwood floors and adjustable air conditioning for ideal comfort.
My camera height changes easily - one twist of a knob.
There’s no hassle or delay (like with a tripod) if you want to stand up or sit down.
I use this 24” monitor during sessions, rather than the 3.5” screen built into my camera.
The monitor spins around, so I can show you how good the pictures look!
We’ll mark our favorite images as we move through different looks, making the final selection process much faster and more convenient.
Enjoy a spacious dressing room with natural window light, and a dresser to hang multiple outfits.
Also includes a chair if you need to sit down.
After we’ve captured your outstanding photographs, it’s time to relax with snacks and refreshments.
We’ll review your ultra-high resolution images on an 86” television.
I’ll conveniently mark your chosen images for delivery, and then get to work on sending you the retouched, finalized versions.
My process guarantees that you see all of your images and can select your personal favorites.
Note: Although this is a home business on private property, the photography studio is a separate structure behind the main house.
